This will be a returning character, as this is several part series. Based on the children’s book, “The Velveteen Rabbit”, by Margery Williams, where a child is gifted a velvet stuffed rabbit and over time the rabbit is loved by the little boy until he is tattered and torn. The boy wishes him to come to life to save him and his love makes the wish come true. My rendition is following the story of what happens after the rabbit becomes a real rabbit which does not play out in the book. When he becomes real, he has real problems, real emotion, and real suffering. Follow along, I will show several snapshots into his life where he finds and loses and himself through mental illness, addiction, and self destruction. Will the love that brought him to life be enough to save him? I’ll let you decide.
